Trainees and Medical Students:

Bellevue is fully involved in the teaching of GP Registrars, medical students and other professionals. GP Registrars are fully qualified doctors who are undergoing their final year of training to become General Practitioners and are working under the supervision of the doctors in the Practice. In all cases where students sit in with doctors, you have the right to request that the students leave so that the interview may be conducted more privately. Occasionally you may be asked for your consent to have your consultation videoed for the purpose of GP Registrar training.

A Practice Nurse is available at most surgeries. They are available with booked appointments at various times during the day. Lisa Curry and Debra Easlea have a special interest our anti-coagulant management. Diane Alexander has special interests in asthma, COPD and children’s immunisation. Lisa Curry also has interests in coronary heart disease prevention and hypertension.  Jenny Houghton has an interest in diabetes.

Our Health Visitors are available to give advice to mothers with children under 5 and monitor children’s development in the weekly baby clinics.

MIDWIVES

Midwives hold weekly ante-natal sessions for mums to be in the surgery.

DISTRICT NURSES

We have a team of nurses who support patients in the community

RECEPTION/ADMINISTRATION

Our Receptionists and Administration staff are here to help you arrange appointments and home visits. They may need to ask for further details when you telephone to ensure that we can assist you as speedily and efficiently as possible. They are bound by the same rules of confidentiality as doctors and nurses.
